Cupcake Queen

I am a Cupcake Queen. I absolutely love them and love making them just as much. Although, I am not up to speed on my own recipe for the batter and I use mix from a box, so technically "Queen" is probably not suiting. Anyhow, I would probably seriously consider opening a little hometown vibe cupcake shop if it wasn't for the fact that after all that baking, you have to do all that washing of pans. That part sucks. Here are some of my favorite ones...

Remembering

It's funny how your day can take a turn back up memory lane. I got an email from an old friend today and it made me remember the days, years ago, when it was just me. Life is a thousand times different now, but sometimes it's nice to be reminded of what used to be. If for no other reason, but to take a long stroll and remember.

Spring Clean

Spring is here...FINALLY. That felt like the longest winter in a long time. A lot is happening this spring and I'm looking forward to what it's bringing. We've got a home remodel on our plate, which means we need to spend a lot of time out of the house enjoying the weather. We've got a vacation coming up in April. Today, we started a spring cleanse with our diet. We are cutting out pretty much everything, but the basic lean meats and veggies for a few weeks. The hardest part....NO COFFEE or caffeine at all. Yeah, I may fall off the wagon on that one, but I am going to give it a try. I am determined to start fresh this season. Get down to the essentials and the basics of life. Spring Clean...pretty much all of me. Any changes coming your way this Spring?

Peeking around the corner

It's been a long time coming. It's as eager to arrive as I am to have it.
